Marketing Toolkit for Retail Launch
Client
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)

Opportunity

AMD's North American marketing team needed a cost-effective and convenient package to arm and educate retailers with product information to accompany the launch of the global PC and server microprocessor maker's two new notebook processors. The result was the AMD Turion™ X2 and AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor digital assets retail launch marketing kit. The client's goal was to eliminate marketing materials waste and trim costs by delivering to retailers a streamlined, digital "variety pack" of brand awareness and messaging tools.

Execution

FG SQUARED designed an integrated a digital package that initially let retail sales associates and, ultimately, consumers each become more knowledgeable about the new AMD products.

Results

Using its sales-area manager force as well as an on-demand production partner, AMD enabled each store to select precisely the promotional items it would use. The kit items AMD made available--such as a retail associate badge containing Turion™ X2 product messages, monitor toppers, wallpapers, magnets, decals, an in-store banner, and tee shirts--addressed a variety of ways an individual store could participate in the launch. An ad template and auto-run demo CD rounded out the kit's list of available offerings. Many of the retail kit items were created in both French and English.
